The Wharf to Wharf Challenge is an epic trail running adventure, tracing the ancient lands of the Yuin people between two historic wharves on the stunning Sapphire Coast of NSW. This course isn’t just about scenery—it’s about grit, endurance, and pushing your limits!

You’ll power past rugged cliffs, weave through coastal forests, and tackle long stretches of sand, with every step bringing a new challenge. From boulder-hopping along rocky shorelines to surging up headlands with panoramic ocean views, this route demands focus, strength, and determination.

There’s no time to stop and soak it all in—this is a test of stamina, built for those ready to take on the wild and finish strong. Are you up for the challenge?

In 2025 there will ONLY BE A RUN category. With all challengers departing Tathra Wharf as the sun rises at 0709. Challengers will self seed. Finish line cut off is 1230.

The course will be marked where required and there will be marshals at key locations along the course to direct and assist. There will be one checkpoint to resupply with water.  But mostly, you and your buddies will be on your own as you traverse the trail. A .GPX file of the course will be available for download

A bus transfer from Spencer Park in Merimbula where there is space to park your car, to Tathra Wharf to begin the challenge is available as part of the booking process. The bus will depart from Spencer Park in Merimbula at 0600 sharp. Registration will be at Tathra Wharf from 0630. Cost for this transfer is $30.

Sapphire Coast Guiding Co. is covered by its own public liability insurance. This does not include personal accident insurance . It is strongly recommended to take out your own personal accident and ambulance cover for the event. Your private health insurance policy may include this, but you will need to check with them.
